FINAL CALL: Thousands of children across Northern Ireland have only one month left to get creative about local farming, to be in with a chance to win prizes for their school. Musgrave Retail Partners (MRPNI) and its independent retailers – SuperValu, Centra and Mace – have teamed up with the Ulster FarmersÕ Union (UFU) to run the competition for all nursery, primary and special schools. Pupils are invited to create pieces of visual art as a class, with the category for Nursery, P1-2 and P3-4 of ÔSeasons of FarmingÕ and for P5-7, ÔFarm SafetyÕ. Creative and technical skills will be tested as pupils can create a picture or poster, a collage, or a sculpture using any materials possible including agricultural items such as sheepÕs wool and straw, before the March 20th deadline. Pictured getting started are pupils Lucy (8) and Lauren (6) Cheatley and Joe Wilson (6). For further details contact davidmcconaghy@ufuhq.com
