FARMLIFE: Thousands of children across Northern Ireland will be learning about local farming whilst getting creative, with the chance to win prizes for their school. Musgrave Retail Partners (MRPNI) and its independent retailers – SuperValu, Centra and Mace – have teamed up with the Ulster FarmersÕ Union (UFU) to launch a competition now available to all nursery, primary and special schools. Pupils are invited to create pieces of visual art as a class, with the category for Nursery, P1-2 and P3-4 of ÔSeasons of FarmingÕ and for P5-7, ÔFarm SafetyÕ. Creative and technical skills will be tested as pupils can create a picture or poster, a collage, or a sculpture using any materials possible such as sheepÕs wool before the March 20th deadline. Pictured getting started is six year old Lauren Cheatley. For further details contact davidmcconaghy@ufuhq.com
