VIVOSA APULIA RESORT ACHIEVES B CORP™ CERTIFICATION

BY TIM HEDGLEY, GROUP TRAVEL EDITOR

April 2026: Vivosa Apulia Resort in Puglia is delighted to announce that it has achieved B Corporation™ (B Corp™) Certification, joining a global community of businesses recognised for meeting high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.

Certified by the non-profit B Lab, Vivosa Apulia Resort achieved a verified B Impact score of 103.5, significantly exceeding the minimum threshold of 80.

The certification reflects the resort’s long-standing commitment to responsible hospitality, embedding sustainable practices across every aspect of its operations.

Set within a protected natural park on the Ionian coast of Salento, Vivosa Apulia Resort is an award-winning luxury eco-resort designed around a low-impact, high-quality guest experience.

The resort operates as a “carbon positive” property, meaning it absorbs more CO₂ than it produces, and implements a wide range of environmental practices including renewable energy generation, water reuse systems, waste reduction and near elimination of single-use plastics.

These efforts are complemented by a strong focus on local sourcing, with the majority of suppliers and employees drawn from the surrounding region, supporting the local economy and reducing environmental impact.

Vivosa integrates nature positivity into the guest experience, offering kids’ club activities such as beekeeping, kitchen-garden harvesting and art recycling as part of its all-inclusive programme, as well as promoting its TartaFriends turtle conservation programme in support of the local Sea Turtle Rescue Centre.

Guests can visit the center on a weekly basis and can witness nesting or turtle hatching on the resort’s own beach, connecting visitors with the culture and biodiversity of Salento.

Dr Damiano Reale, CEO of Vivosa Apulia Resort, said: “Achieving B Corp Certification is a proud milestone that validates our long-term vision: to create a hospitality model that delivers exceptional guest experiences while generating positive impact for the environment, our community and our people.”

Vivosa Apulia Resort now joins a global movement of over 8,000 B Corps across more than 90 countries, all working collectively toward an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.
