POLICE APPEAL OVER WEST BELFAST SHOOTING INCIDENT

Police are currently at the scene of a “shooting incident” in west Belfast.

The police said it happened in the Greenan area on Tuesday night and that officers were still at the scene on Wednesday morning.

It is not known whether anybody has been injured in the incident.

Cordons are in place and the public have been asked to avoid the area.

Officers appealed for witnesses to contact them on the 101 number.
