MAN CHARGED OVER NORTH BELFAST BURGLARY

Detectives investigating a burglary at a house in the Southport Court area of north Belfast have charged a man to court.

The 37-year-old has been charged with a number of offences including burglary, possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence, false imprisonment, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, criminal damage and common assault.

He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday, October 31, for a first remand hearing.

As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
