WOMAN CHARGED WITH STAB MURDER OF MAN IN WEST BELFAST

Detectives from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team, investigating the murder of 54-year-old Tony Browne in Poleglass in west Belfast on Friday, October 14, have charged a 33-year-old woman with his murder.

She is expected to appear before Lisburn Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 17, for a first remand hearing.

As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

Mr Browne was stabbed in the neck and suffered substantial blood loss at the scene in Woodside Park.

He was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
