A 43-year-old man arrested by detectives from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF) in east Belfast yesterday, Thursday 15 September, has been charged as part of an investigation into the drug dealing activities of the local UVF.

He was charged with a number of offences including possessing criminal property, possession of a class B drug and being in possession of a class B drug with intent to supply.

He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court this morning, Friday 16 September.

As is usual procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
