Detectives from the PSNI’s Terrorism Investigation Unit have today, Wednesday, August 24, arrested four men in Belfast in connection with an ongoing investigation into the activities of the New IRA. 

A number of properties are being searched as part of the operation.

The men, aged 62, 51, 30 and 27, have been arrested under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act.

They have been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Musgrave Police Station for questioning.
