SIX MEN ARRESTED OVER INLA CRIME PROBE

Officers from the PSNI’s Paramilitary Crime Task Force conducted a policing operation in the Glen Road area of west Belfast on Tuesday night, 16th August.

Six males aged 28, 36, 39, 42, 47 and 54 have been arrested for serious crime offences and remain in custody at this time.

During the course of the operation, distraction devices were used.

The Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland has been informed.

The search and arrests were in connection with an ongoing investigation into criminality linked to the Irish National Liberation Army (INLA).

There are no further details available at this time.
