Detectives investigating the murder of Martin Gavin in north Belfast have charged a 20-year-old man with murder. 

He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Wednesday, March 9, for a first remand hearing.

An 18-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman who were also arrested yesterday have now been released.

Mr Gavin being stabbed in a house in north Belfast’s Harcourt Drive on Friday, January 7.

He sadly passed away some four weeks later, on the morning of Sunday, February 6.
