MAN CHARGED OVER EAST BELFAST AGGRAVATED BURGLARY

A 22-year-old man has been charged with a number of offences, including aggravated burglary with intent to commit grievous bodily harm, theft, criminal damage, possession of a Class A controlled drug and possession of a Class B controlled drug.

He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday, September 29, for a first remand hearing.

As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The charges follow a report of an aggravated burglary at The Mount area of east Belfast on Tuesday, September 28.
