MAN VICIOUSLY ASSAULT IN SOUTH BELFAST

POLICE are appealing for information following a report that a man had been viciously assaulted in south Belfast in the early hours of this morning, Friday, August 13.

Sergeant Rooney said: “It was reported just before 1.45 am that the 42-year-old had been assaulted in the Arthur Square area of the city.

“He was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening at this stage.

“Anyone who was in the area at the time or who might have dash cam footage is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 92 of 13/08/21.

“We are particularly keen to speak to two young women who were in the area at the time. 

“We would like to make it clear that they are not suspects and we believe they may have information that could help with our enquiries.
