Detectives from the PSNI’S Major Investigation Team investigating the death of two-year-old Ali Jayden Doyle on Friday, 6 August, have charged a man and a woman.
The man, aged 32, has been charged with murder of the child, affectionately called ‘AJ’, and perverting the course of justice.
The woman, aged 24, has been charged with causing or allowing the death of a child and perverting the course of justice.
They are both to appear before Omagh Magistrate’s Court via video link later today, Tuesday, August 10, for a first remand hearing.
‘AJ’ was admitted to hospital last Friday afternoon after the Ambulance Service attended an address in Park Avenue in Dungannon.
The child later died in hospital.
Police have not yet said how ‘AJ’ died but reports at the weekend said she may have sustained a head injury.
