Detectives from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team investigating the murder of Liam O’Keefe, have charged a 29-year-old woman with his murder.

Mum Raluca Tagani has also been charged with the attempted murder of a young child and is set to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court today, Friday, July 30, for a first remand hearing.

As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The two children were found with stab wounds at a house in Brompton Park on Tuesday around 8 pm.

Ms Tagani was subsequently arrested by police and taken to hospital for treatment.

On Thursday, she was transferred from hospital to the PACE custody suite at Musgrave police station on Thursday for questioning.
