MAN ARRESTED OVER SOUTH BELFAST KNIFE-POINT BURGLARY

Detectives investigating an aggravated burglary in the Curzon Street area of south Belfast on Friday morning, July 30th have arrested a man.

It was reported to police at around 8:30 am that the male occupant woke to find a man in the property armed with a knife.

He threatened the male occupant inside and made off from the scene with a number of items including a sum of cash. 

Detective Sergeant Natalie Moore said: “Thankfully the victim was not injured as a result of this incident but they have been left badly shaken.

“We have arrested a 42 year old man on suspicion on suspicion of aggravated burglary and stealing.

“The suspect has been taken to Musgrave Police Station and is assisting officers with their enquiries.

“I am appealing to anyone with information, or who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area, to get in touch.
