Detectives from PSNI’s Major Investigation Team, investigating the murder of a 53-year-old man at a property on Beatrice Road in Bangor on Wednesday 14 July, have charged a 35-year-old man with his murder.

He is due to appear before Newtownards Magistrates’ Court this morning (Friday 16th July) via video link for a first remand hearing.

As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
