SUSPECT ARRESTED AFTER MAN STABBED IN HEAD

Police are appealing for information and witnesses following the report of an assault on a 58-year-old male at a property in Norglen Parade, west Belfast at approximately 7.50pm last night, Wednesday July 14th.

Inspector Swann said: “Police received a report that a man had been stabbed just before 8pm last night.

“The victim suffered a knife wound to his head and left wrist and was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries.

“A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He remains in custody at this time.

“We are appealing to anyone with any information regarding this incident to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 1907 of 14/07/21.
