DETECTIVES from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force have charged a 24 year old man with possession of a firearm in suspicious circumstances, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of class A and B controlled drugs.

He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates court on August 3 for a first remand hearing.  

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

These charges are in connection with the search of a property in the west Belfast area in February 2021.
