MAN CHARGED WITH 63 OFFENCES AFTER GUN INCIDENT

DETECTIVES have charged a 32 year old man with a total of 63 offences.

These include possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, discharging a firearm in a public place and possession of firearms and ammunition in suspicious circumstances.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday, May 4.

As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the PPS.

The charges are in relation to a number of incidents at Silverstream Road and Manor Street, north Belfast, on the morning of Sunday, May 2, and a follow up search at a property on the Crumlin Road.

A number of shots were fired at Silverstream Road and a window at a property on Manor Street was smashed.
