THE Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF) conducted a number of searches across Belfast, Hillsborough and Millisle on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, in an coordinated search operation assisted by officers from the local Neighbourhood Policing Teams and Tactical Support Units.

During these searches a substantial quantity of suspected cannabis, drugs paraphernalia and in excess of £10,000 cash was seized.

Police also seized a number of dogs of which they had serious welfare concerns.

The PSNI say some of these dogs have serious injuries, images of which would not be suitable for release.

The dogs are now safe and receiving veterinary treatment.

Detective Inspector O’Neill said: “The PCTF along with our District Policing Colleagues are committed to tackling the harm caused by all types of criminality which is perpetrated by those linked to Paramilitary and organised crime.

“We will continue to listen to the community and act on information they provide, so I would encourage members of the public with information regarding drug dealing or any other criminality to call 101, or you can submit a report online using our non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/ .

“The independent charity Crimestoppers can also be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at http://crimestoppers-uk.org/.
