DETECTIVES from the PSNI’S TerrorisT Investigation Unit carried out a search and arrest operation in Lisburn this morning, Monday, March 8.

Detective Chief Superintendent Raymond Murray, Head of Serious Crime Branch, said: “Today’s arrest of a 61-year-old man is part of Operation Arbacia, an ongoing investigation into the activities of the New IRA.”

The man, arrested under section 41 of the Terrorism Act, has been taken to Musgrave Police Station where he will be questioned by detectives.
