FOUR our men arrested yesterday under the Terrorism Act over a UVF show of strength in east Belfast earlier this month have now been released unconditionally.

The men – two aged 53 and two aged 34 and 36 were arrested by detectives from PSNI’s Criminal Investigation Branch and Paramilitary Crime Task Force.

They were detained over incident involving a significant gathering of men in the Pitt Park area of east Belfast on Tuesday,, February, 3

The men will now be reported to the Public Prosecution Service. 

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The 34-year-old man arrested has been charged with Possession of a Class A controlled drug.

He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court this morning, Saturday, February 27 for a first remand hearing.
