A 43 year old man has been charged with burglary, common assault and criminal damage.

He is due to appear before Antrim Magistrates’ Court on January 5th.

As is usual procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The charge is relation to the burglary of a church in Antrim over the weekend.

A report will also be submitted to the PPS in respect of the offences of common assault and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
