EAST BELFAST HOME RANSACKED IN BURGLARY

DETECTIVES are appealing for information following the report of a burglary.

It happened at the home of an older person in the Ardenlee Avenue area of east Belfast on Tuesday, August 18.

Detective Sergeant Corrigan said: “It was reported to police on Tuesday evening that sometime between 9.30 am and 7:10 pm on Tuesday entry was gained to the property.

“The occupant returned home to find the property had been ransacked and a number of items had been taken.

“Upon closer inspection it is report that the items taken from the property included a Canon Video camera, Canon 350D camera, a number of lens, memory cards, a Laptop, an iPad and, a number of items of jewellery.

“Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1710 of 18/08/20.

“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
