Detectives have charged a woman, aged 36, and a man, aged 51, with possessing criminal property and possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply. 

Both are expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday, August 13, for a first remand hearing.

As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The charges follow the searches of premises – two in south Belfast and one in east Belfast – on Tuesday 11 August.

This suspects were detained as part of an ongoing investigation relating to the seizure of drugs and cash in Belfast and Heathrow Airport recently.
