Detectives investigating the report of sexual assaults in south Belfast on 13 June have charged a 22-year-old man with rape. 

He is to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday 25 june. 

As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The charge relates to the report of sexual assaults within Ormeau Park on Saturday, June 13.
