POLICE have charged a 35 year old man with a number of offences including assault on police and criminal damage.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court todayrning (Wednesday 17th June.)

As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the PPS.

The charge relates to an incident in Antrim Area Hospital where officers were spat at by a male.
