Malachy Goodman arrested by police on Saturday in west Belfast after stolen car crashes
DETECTIVES investigating a hijacking incident on Finaghy Road North in west Belfast on Saturday, 13th June, have charged a 37-year-old man.
Malachy Goodman has been charged with offences, including hijacking and aggravated vehicle taking causing damage to the vehicle.
He is to to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court today, Monday, June 15, for a first remand hearing.
As is usual procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
Goodman was detained by members of the public on Saturday after the stolen car he was driving crashed in Whiterock Crescent.
Police were alerted and arrested Goodman.

He was taken to the PACE custody suite at Musgrave police station for questioning.
