Two men to face court over £1 million cannabis haul seizure
DETECTIVES from the PSNI Organised Crime Unit, assisted by Immigration and Enforcement officers, have charged two men, aged 29 and 61 years old with a number of drug-related offences to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court this morning, Thursday, January 30.
Both men have been charged with offences including possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply, conspiracy to supply a Class B controlled drug and possessing criminal property.
The 29-year-old man has also been charged with possession of a false identity document.
The charges relate to a £1 million drugs seizure in the greater Belfast area on Tuesday, January 28.
As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
A third man, aged 43 years old, who was also arrested on Tuesday has been released unconditionally in relation to drug-related offences.
