Murdered pensioner Mike Kerr died from violent sustained attack in his home last November
DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team investigating the murder of Michael Kerr have made an arrest.
The 68-year-old was discovered inside his Bangor home last year.
Police say he was brutally attacked in his Birch Drive home on Tuesday, November 19.
As part of its probe, MIT detectives arrested a man in Birmingham on suspicion of murder.
The man, aged 50, has been taken to Musgrave Custody where he is currently being questioned.
The body of Mr Kerr was found after neighbours raised the alarm after he had not been seen in his regular routine.
