TEEN TO FACE COURT OVER EAST BELFAST CAR THEFT

Teen to face court over car theft in east Belfast

POLICE investigating the theft of two cars from the Cregagh Park East area of East Belfast on Friday 10th January have charged a 17 year old man with a number of offences.

These include aggravated vehicle taking causing damage to another vehicle, failing to stop, failing to report, failing to remain, no insurance and no driving licence.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court today, Saturday,  January 11, for a first remand hearing.

As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the PPS.

A second 17 year old youth has been arrested in connection with this incident.

He currently remains in police custody assisting officers with their enquiries.
