POLICE TREAT PAINT ATTACK ON EAST BELFAST HOME AS SECTARIAN HATE CRIME

POLICE are appealing for information and witnesses following a report of criminal damage at a property in The Mount area of Belfast last night, Friday, December 13.

At approximately 9.10pm paint was thrown at the window of residential premises. 

No-one was injured during the incident.

This incident is being treated as a sectarian hate crime.

Sergeant Foster said: “I would appeal to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity to contact police at Strandtown on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1864 of 13/12/19. 

“Information can also be given to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
