DETECTIVES investigating an assault at Ormeau Embankment area of Belfast on Monday evening, August 5, have made two arrests, including one for attempted murder.
Detective Inspector Kerry Brennan said “Following a proactive police operation today, Friday, August 9, a vehicle was stopped in the area of the Newtownards Road, Belfast and a man and a woman were arrested by officers from the Armed Response Unit.
“A 24 year old male was arrested for attempted murder and a 30 year female was arrested for assisting an offender.
“Both are currently assisting police with their enquiries.”
