Man to face Downpatrick court over one-punch assault on man at Tyrella Beach

DETECTIVES investigating a one punch type incident on Thursday, June 27 have charged a 21 year old man with grievous bodily harm.

He is due to appear at Downpatrick Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, July 25.

As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the PPS.

A 22 year old man remains in a critical condition in hospital following the incident at Tyrella Beacch outside Downpatrick in Co Down.

Detectives continue to appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information to contact them on 101, quoting reference 1913 27/06/19.
