ROOMS RANSACKED AND CASH STOLEN IN NORTH BELFAST HOUSE BURGLARY

DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses following a burglary of a house in the Mayo Street area of north Belfast this afternoon, Tuesday, April 30.

It was reported that entry was gained to the property sometime this afternoon and a number of rooms ransacked.

A sum of cash is reported to have been stolen as a result of the incident.

Detective Sergeant Eric Fairfield said: “Our enquiries into the incident are continuing.

“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the burglary or anyone with any information that can assist with my investigation to contact detective in Musgrave Police Station on 101, quoting reference number 935 30/04/19.

“Alternatively, information can be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
