A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of wealthy drug baron Jim Donegan in west Belfast.
The man was detained by detectives under the Terrorism Act at Musgrave Police Station in Belfast on Tuesday afternoon.
Jim Donegan was blasted to death as he waited to collect his 13-year-old son from St Mary’s Christian Brothers’ Grammar School in west Belfast in December.
Detectives said the 43-year-old’s killer had been waiting for his victim at the scene five days earlier, but Mr Donegan did not pick up his son that day.
The gunman was dressed in a hi-vis vest and baseball cap and approached Donegan’s flame red Porsche Panamera car and shot him eight times to the head and upper body from close range.
Detectives believe Donegan was shot dead by the INLA.
