DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team investigating the murder of wealthy drug baroon Jim Donegan last December have made a fresh arrest.
A 32 year old man was arrested in the Springfield Road area of West Belfast, earlier today.
The man was arrested on suspicion of the murder of Jim and on suspicion of membership of a proscribed organisation.
He is currently in custody at Musgrave Serious Crime Suite where he is being questioned by detectives.
Donegan was shot dead in his red Porsche Panamera car while waiting to pick up his son from school.
A lone gunman wearing a hi vis jacket shot him eight times to the head and upper body with a handgun.
Detectives said last month that they believed Donegan was shot dead by the INLA.
