THE funeral will take place this weekend Tara Wright who was found dead outside Belfast City Hospital in the early hours of Sunday.
At the request of the 17-year-old’s family, the funeral this Saturday, March 30, will be private for family only.
A family insertion read: “Dearly loved daughter of Michael and Tracey, much loved sister of Charles, Alistair and Anna.
“Tara was adored and cherished by her whole family, she will be missed greatly and remembered forever.”
In a statement released to the media on Monday, Tara’s parents Michael and Tracey said that she was a “vibrant soul with a zest for life that could bring joy to all around her”.
“Tara was a kind, funny, charismatic, bright young girl with her whole life ahead of her and we can’t believe that we now have to say goodbye to her,” the statement read.
“Tara will be missed immeasurably not only by us, but her entire family, especially her brothers and sister Charles, Alistair and Anna, who will never forget the love they had for her and the love she had for them.”
Police believe her death is linked to a car crash on the Manse Road in Ballygowan, in the early hours of Sunday when a silver Mercedes car left the road.
Ms Wright’s body was later found inside a silver MG car at Belfast City Hospital sparking a major investigation by police.
Four men – aged 20, 21, 28 and 30 – were arrested on Sunday in connection with the incident.
They were subsequently bailed pending further PSNI inquiries.
Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash in the Castlereagh hills or saw the MG car to contact police on the 101 number.
