MEN HUNTED AFTER HOUSE SMASHED UP IN SOUTH BELFAST RAID

DETECTIVES are appealing for information after a report of an aggravated burglary last night.

The incident happened a residential property in the Archdale Drive area of Newtownbreda in south Belfast last night on Tuesday, March 19.

Detective Sergeant O’Flaherty said: “Shortly before 9:20 pm, it was reported that two men entered a house in the area.

“A woman aged in her 50s was held against a sofa in the house as they proceeded to smash glass to a number of doors inside the property.

“A male aged in his 40s, who was also inside the house was chased out of the property by the two men and made off in a car from the area.

“The female inside the property was not injured but left badly shaken.

“We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1478 19/3/19.

“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
