MAN ROBBED OF CASH AND MOBILE PHONE AT KNIFE-POINT

DETECTIVES are appealing for information following the report of a robbery in the Oxford Street area of Belfast in the early hours of this morning, Monday, March 18.

At approximately 1.30 am a man was forced to withdraw money from an ATM machine by an unknown male who had threatened him with a Stanley knife.

The suspect also stole his iphone 8 and debit card.

The victim is not believed to have been injured, however he has been left very shocked by his ordeal.

Detective Sergeant O’Flaherty would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information that could assist police with their enquiries to contact detectives at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 777 18/03/19.

Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
