DETECTIVES have launched a murder-suicide investigation after the bodies of three people were found in a flat today, including that of a teenage girl.

And they have confirmed they are not currently seeking anyone else in connection with the deaths of three people in Newry.

Detective Superintendent Jason Murphy said: “The bodies of a 38 year old male, a 37 year old female and a 15 year old girl were discovered at a flat in Glin Ree Court at around 11 am this morning.

“At this time the three have not been formally identified and cause of death has not been established.

“Our investigation is ongoing at present.

“Our thoughts at this time are very much with the loved ones of those who have died.”
