Murder victim Ian Ogle stabbed to death in east Belfast on Sunday night

DETECTIVES investigating the murder of Ian Ogle on Sunday, January 27, have arrested a 49 year old man in relation to the brutal stab killing.

He has been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Musgrave PSNI station for questioning.

Detectives continue to appeal for anyone with any information to contact them on 101.

The 45-year-old victim was repeatedly stabbed by a loyalist mob on Sunday evening outside his home in Cluan Place, East Belfast .

The family have blamed UVF members for carrying the barbaric murder.

The UVF in east Belfast has denied it sanctioned the killing.
