WOMAN CHARGED OVER COLLECTING INFORMATION FOR DISSIDENT TERRORISTS

Woman (61) to face Belfast Magistrates’ Court accused of collecting information for dissident republican terrorists

DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Terrorism Investigation Unit have charged a 61 year old woman with two counts of collecting or making record of information which may be useful to a terrorist.

She is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, January 26 for a first remand hearing.

As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the PPS.

The woman was arrested in the Springfield Road area of west Belfast on Thursday, January, 24, along with two men aged 65 and 48.

They were arrested as part of a TIU investigation into dissident republican activity in the west of the city.
