29-year-old murder victim Padraig Fox

DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team have chared a 21-year-old man with the murder of Padraig Fox.

The body of Mr Fox was found in a flat on Saturday in a Co Down seaside town.

The 29-year-old was discovered at a property in Burrendale Park Road in Newcastle at 1.45 pm.

The results of a post mortem examination PM Sunday sparked a murder inqury.

Two men who were known to the murder victim were later arrested for questioning.

A second male, aged 26, has been charged with related offences including perverting the course of justice.

The men are due to appear at Newtownards Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday December 12, for a first remand hearing.
