HALLOWEEN MASKED HAMMER WIELDING THUGS ROB WEST BELFAST SHOP

DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses and information following the report of a robbery at commercial premises on the Shankill Road n west Belfast this morning, Saturday, October 6.

At approximately 9.55 am police received a report that two men, wearing Halloween masks and armed with hammers, had entered the premises and demanded money.

They then fled the scene with a sum of cash.

There was no-one hurt in this incident, however staff members were left very badly shaken.

Detective Sergeant Keith Wilson would appeal to anyone who was in the area and noticed any suspicious activity to contact Detectives at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 413 06/10/18.

Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
