FOUR MEN ARRESTED AND CHARGED AFTER POLICE STOP STOLEN VEHICLE

Two men to appear at Lisburn Magistrates’ Court today charged with aggravated vehicle taking

FOUR men were arrested after police stopped a stolen car.

They were detained after a car failed to stop for police on Longstone Street in Lisburn yesterday, October 3.

Officers from District Support Team and Roads Policing officers stopped the vehicle on Moira Road, Lisburn and arrested the four males.

The car was reported stolen earlier in the day

A 36 year old man has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking in which the vehicle is driven dangerously, dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified, failing to stop and using a motor vehicle without insurance.

He is due to appear at Lisburn Magistrates Court this morning, Thursday, October 4, for a first remand hearing.

Three other males aged 28, 37 and 39 have been charged with aggravated vehicle taking in which the vehicle is driven dangerously.

The 28 year old man is also set to appear at Lisburn Magistrates’ Court this morning.

The two other males, aged 37 and 39, will appear later this month.
