THREE MEN CHARGED OVER OPERATION AGAINST INLA IN BELFAST

Three men to face Belfast Magistrates’ Court over police operation against Belfast INLA

THREE men arrested in north and west Belfast in a planned operation by officers from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force into the criminal activities of Belfast INLA have been charged to court later this morning, Tuesday, October 2.

One man, aged 51, has been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, possession of a firearm in suspicious circumstances, possession of a Class A drug  and possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply.

The drugs have an estimated street value of £45,000.

Two men aged 37 and 51, have been charged with conspiracy to commit Robbery.

The three men will appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court for a first remand hearing.

A fourth man, aged 53, arrested as part of the same operation, has been released pending report to the PPS.

As is normal practice all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
