Detective Sergeant Keith Wilson said: “Shortly before 8,40 pm, we received a report of a fire at a property in the area.
“Police believe entry was forced and considerable damage was caused to the property, as a result of this fire.
“Thankfully, no one was inside the premises during the incident. Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service attended and extinguished the fire.
“We would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident to contact detectives in Musgrave on 101 quoting reference number 1244 7/9/18.
“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
