PENSIONER LEFT SHAKEN AFTER MEN STEAL CASH IN HOUSE BURGLARY

DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses following a burglary on a house last night.

It happened in the Moat Street area of Donaghadee.

It was reported that at around 9 pm, a man, aged in his 60s, was sitting in his home watching television when four men entered the property.

One of the men remained in the living room with the homeowner while the other three ransacked the bedrooms.

All four made off with a sum of cash.

The gentleman was not injured but left shaken by his ordeal.

Three of the males were described as being in their twenties, approximately 5’8” tall, of slim build and were all wearing black clothing, black hooded tops and black scarves.

The fourth male was aged in his 50s, of heavy build and dressed in dark clothing.

Detective Constable Killen is appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact detectives in Bangor on 101 quoting reference 1303 30/08/18.

Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
