Teen male to face court charged with possession of firearm

A 17 year old male has been charged with possession of a firearm with Intent to cause of fear of violence.  

He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court later this morning, Tuesday 14 August.

As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

The charge follows a number of incidents in the Donegall Place and Library Street areas of Belfast city centre on Sunday morning, 12 August.

A report will also be prepared for the PPS for offences of robbery and attempted robbery.

A 14 year old male has already been charged with a number of offences linked to these incidents.
